LEARN ABOUT US

Mission
The Lewis and Clark County Community Foundation provides financial support for quality charitable projects benefiting Lewis and Clark County and its residents.

History
IThe Foundation was established in 1994 and incorporated in 2000.  Since 1999, LCCF has provided financial support for quality charitable projects benefiting Lewis and Clark County and its residents. Since then it has awarded 115 grants for a total of $47,500.

LCCF has a unique relationship with the Big Sky Institute for the Advancement of Nonprofits.  Big Sky provides incubator services to LCCF which enables the Foundation to have a part-time executive administrator.  The executive director of Big Sky, Mike Schechtman is able to provide fundraising expertise to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.  The current Board of Directors is made up of representatives from Augusta, East Helena, and Helena. Past board members have resided in Canyon Creek, Lincoln, and Wolf Creek.

GOOD WORKS

Community Works
Community Works, Inc. received a LCCF grant of $400 in 2005.  This grant purchased materials for a garden shed needed for their on-going community garden program.  The garden is planted by a cross-generational program for youth and elders.
