HOW TO RECEIVE

The Montana Community Foundation is committed to improving the lives of Montanans by helping individuals and families achieve their philanthropic goals and by supporting Montana nonprofit organizations.

The Foundation has discretionary control over a small number of funds for which the organization maintains competitive grantmaking opportunities for community leaders. We do not accept unsolicited general grant applications, but when there is a competitive grant opportunity the application information is posted on this page. Current programs  include the Women’s Foundation of Montana, scholarships and occasional opportunities from donor advised funds.

Big Sky LIFT

Big Sky LIFT (Lifting Individuals and families with Financial Troubles), an emergency relief fund administered by the Montana Community Foundation, provides in grants to families and individuals who are struggling financially due to the economic downturn in Big Sky. Currently, the program is offering grants to individuals affected by the bankruptcy of Spanish Peaks. Click here to learn more.
