LEARN ABOUT US
Mission
The Seeley Lake Community (SLCF) Foundation is dedicated to improving life in the Seeley Lake area by collecting and distributing funds for community projects.
History
SLCF was founded in 1999. Three of the six current directors were founding directors. The Foundation has raised over $300,000 in donations from more than 200 individuals, businesses and foundations. We have invested $90,000 in the community in the form of grants and fiscal sponsorship of two projects. The Foundation has awarded 22 grants in the amount of $49,000 to 17 local organizations. The most successful project was the building of a high visibility playground in the summer of 2006. In addition to small grants and one scholarship, the Foundation seeks to sponsor and fund Leadership Projects similar to the playground.

GOOD WORKS
The Foundation granted $17,500, including a $15,000 Leadership Grant from the Montana Community Foundation, to underwrite the $110,000 playground. Approximately 1000 volunteers built the playground in five days in June 2006. DVD available.
Preliminary Engineering Study for Seeley Lake Sewer Authority: SLCF acted as fiscal agent for this project, raising nearly $30,000 for the study.
