Valley County Community Foundation
LEARN ABOUT US
Mission
The Valley County Community Foundation is steward of a community savings account through which private assets, entrusted by donors, are invested to meet the challenges of contemporary life. The Foundation is the guardian of a permanent endowment where the income will be used to help fund economic, cultural and charitable projects.
History
Valley County is full of energetic people working hard to make this a great place to live. Whether a project starts from scratch or improves something already in place, people of all ages join to complete it and improve life for their families and friends. Ask any volunteer and they will tell you, financial support is a wonderful complement to strong backs and willing hands. That’s where the Valley County Community Foundation comes in…by awarding grants that help to pay for worthwhile community projects.
The Foundation was started in 1997 by an anonymous donor. Generous gifts from many people and businesses have helped to build the endowment since then.
VCCF is affiliated with the Montana Community Foundation, a statewide organization that works with nonprofit organizations to raise and administer charitable gifts. Pooled with millions of dollars from other similar organizations, VCCF benefits from the strength of this buying power. Annual earnings return to the community as funding for worthwhile projects.
