Daniel Trost is a financial advisor in Helena with D.A. Davidson & Co., a financial services firm headquartered in Great Falls, Montana. Dan is a native Montanan, born in Bozeman and raised in Great Falls. Back in Bozeman for college, Dan earned a master’s degree in Applied Economics from Montana State University. He also holds a graduate degree in Banking earned at Georgetown University, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) designation from Cannon Financial Institute.
Dan has been in the financial services industry for 18 years and is in his tenth year with D.A. Davidson & Co. Dan and his team work hard to help clients define and meet their financial goals. Their mission is twofold: first, to build trust and develop strong working relationships by providing exceptional service, and second, to achieve positive results through thoughtful planning and a disciplined investment process. Dan was recently appointed to the Board of the Montana Teachers Retirement System, which is tasked with ensuring the long-term viability of that defined-benefit program. He’s also happy to continue to serve on the finance committee of United Way of the Lewis & Clark Area, an organization doing so much good in the Helena community. Finally, Dan is proud to be a member of D.A. Davidson & Co.’s Chairman’s Council, which recognizes top financial advisors for their client-first focus and involves them in the direction and philosophy of the firm.
